Emergency Registration

First Emanuel Baptist Church can immediately contact you during a major crisis or emergency. We  will deliver important emergency alerts, notifications and updates to you on all your devices at once:
  • e-mail account (work, home, other)
  • cell phone
  • text pager
  • BlackBerry
  • wireless PDA
When an incident or emergency occurs, authorized senders will instantly notify you using this email blast, which is your personal connection to real-time updates, instructions on where to go, what to do, or what not to do, who to contact and other important information.
While signing up for this alert system is free of charge, your wireless carrier may, or may not, charge you a fee to receive text messages. Please check your wireless service agreement, to review your carrier's pricing scheme.

First Emanuel Baptist Church Office of Emergency Management reserves the right to restrict at any time the usage of this alert system to FEBC members.

Emergency Preparedness

According to the AARP, it is recommended to prepare a "Grab & Go Bag" in the case of a natural disaster and/or emergency.  The Grab & Go Bag should contain essential items need for survival for at least three days.  The Grab & Go Bag should contain the following items:
  • Basic Electronics: these items should include your cell phone, cell phone charger and battery operated flash lights.
  • Clothing: it is important to pack clothing and undergarments for at least a three day period. 
  • Essential Documentations: these items are but not limited to social security card(s), birth certificate(s), driver's license/identification card, insurance card, living wills, power of attorney, marriage license, immunization records, debit/credit card. *These items should be packed inside of a waterproof bag*
  • Food & Beverage: it is suggested these items should be non-perishable items and bottled water. 
  • Medication: the recommendation for packing medication is at least three days. If you are not comfortable leaving medication behind then please grab them all. 
  • Monetary: please carry at least three days of cash, including but not limited to small bills and coins. 
  • Personal Items: personal items should include toiletries, first aid kits, eye glasses and/or contact lens and a baby bag if applicable.
