She was Baptized at the age of 12 at First Emanuel Baptist Churchby Rev.Samuel Hadley. 

As an Adult: 

She moved her membership to New Home Full Gospel Ministries and subsequently returned to First Emanuel Baptist Churchin July 1990.

She acknowledged her call to ministry in 2004.

Outreach Ministry:  

Street Ministry, Feed the Homeless and Gospel Fest

 Sunday School, Youth Bible Study, Vacation Bible School, Emanuel’s Eminent Women With Vision Conference (EEWWV) and Young Adult Male Ministry Conference (YAMM)

Training:      

Min. Smith is receiving her training under the direction and guidance of Pastor Southall through Leadership Retreats, Bible Study, Ministers’ Meeting and Teachers’ Meeting.  She has also been trained in creative teaching by the Cornerstone Association Conference and the National Baptist Sunday School Congress.

She obtained her license to preach on December 24, 2006.
